On Saturday the 10th of July, the third event of the 2010 West Zone Team 15 championship was held at Glossop and district Sailing Club. This was an important event as a win for West Kirby meant they were the west zone championships for 2010. Lots of good quality, close racing was had with the 6.8m fleet being decided by just one point. Overall team results were West Kirby Warriors in first place, with Team Astbury in second, with only 3 points separating the two. This was a fantastic result for Team Astbury, as even though it meant West Kirby are the West Zone champions for 2010, our team closed the gap and everyone showed huge improvement in every fleet.
